Marty is one of the earliest pioneers in Legal Procurement. Having started sourcing the legal category as early as 2005, Marty has done groundbreaking work in Legal Procurement. He developed and implemented the strategy to transition GlaxoSmithKline’s high-value legal engagements (all matters over $250,000) to non-hourly, value-based fee agreements. This has been immortalized in the Harvard Business School case study GlaxoSmithKline: Sourcing Complex Professional Services (HBS 9-414-003).

Denise Liddy

Denise Liddy has been with for AXA XL twelve years and in that time held various positions within the Global Sourcing and Procurement Organization: she has managed the IT and Professional Services categories and for the past two years has supported the Underwriting, Claims and Legal areas. Alan leads Walmart’s Office of Outside Counsel Management, where he oversees internal operations and processes, as well as the relationship with all company law firms throughout the United States. His office reviews and improves legal department processes, policies, and cost control. as well as procuring and evaluating department vendors.
